The Woodstock Tapes – the source for video of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Arts Festival. The original 1969 Woodstock Festival was iconic of the 60’s lifestyle and this unique trove of video can authenticate your project with a fresh and up-close perspective. These copyrighted videotapes consist of over 2 hours of material, the largest (and only significant) archive of video footage shot on site at the 1969 Woodstock Festival.
The footage was originally shot on ½ inch black & white reels with a Sony Portapack CV2200 – the very first portable consumer video camera. The majority of the footage features performances shot from on stage, a dozen feet from the acts.
